The Preview: Australia vs Bangladesh
After securing their second victory of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, Bangladesh gears up for the much bigger challenge – Australia. With 8 points coming off four wins in 5 encounters, Australia is one of the favourites to lift the trophy again and has performed exactly the same way.
The reignited Bangladesh will look to carry their momentum forward when they will lock horns with defending champions Australia at Trent Bridge in Nottingham on Thursday afternoon.
With two wins and as many defeats in five encounters, Bangladesh is going good in the tournament and will have to put an outstanding show against Australia to cause an upset. The Asian side has managed to cross the line just once in 20 head to head encounters so far.
However, seeing their performance in the tournament, it won’t be that easy for Kangaroos as it seems. Bangladesh announced themselves in style with 21 runs win over South Africa in the opening fixture and almost pulled it off against New Zealand in the second encounter.
They are coming after registering a convincing 7 wickets win over Windies after chasing 300+ total with 8 overs to spare. So, can they cause an upset against Australia?
The match will start at 03:00 PM IST.

The average first innings score at Nottingham is 252. And, in the past three games played here, two games witnessed the total in excess of 270 while the one between Windies and Pakistan was a low scoring encounter. So, clearly, batting looks a bit easier here.
Pacers can get some help early on as some showers are forecasted at the start of the game.
