The minnows Afghanistan had everybody’s eye in this ICC World Cup 2019 but the team is yet to register any upset which was expected from them. But now in the form of England they have an opportunity to make a statement.
On the other hand, England have recovered smoothly from the loss against Pakistan and are looking set to enter the knock-outs. This contest may well be a one-side affair as the hosts are mighty strong in front of Afghanistan.
Here are the top three picks for Dream11 captain:
#3. Rashid Khan:
The Afghanistan spinner has looked pale so far in the tournament as the surfaces here do not favour his bowling style. But he is a champion bowler and has proved his worth in the past.
Against England he faces the challenge of controlling one of the most powerful batting line-ups in the world and this presents an opportunity as well.
And not to forget that he can contribute with the ball too.

#2. Jos Buttler:
The England’s MVP in this tournament, Buttler will be eager to face spin trial by Afghanistan. He loves going big and he will surely take on the spinners.
Buttler is in form of his life and importantly has played some big knocks in the recent games.

#1. Joe Root:
Before the start of the tournament, the talk was all about England’s brute power hitters, but three weeks into the World Cup, Joe Root has once again established the supremacy of technique, class and elegance in batting.
Everytime Root has walked to the crease in the World Cup, he has made batting look ridiculously easy and has overshadowed others with his classy strokeplay.
Against Afghanistan back him to score big as he is an effective player of spin.
