AFGH vs NZ Dream11 Prediction | Afghanistan vs New Zealand Match Preview | Fantasy Team & Team News
New Zealand is on a roll currently, winning 2 out of 2 games. They will look to improve in the upcoming matches versus some of the other top dogs of this World Cup. Ross Taylor has been their best performing batsmen, thrashing 82 runs in the one innings he has batted in. New Zealand hasn’t had good partnerships between wickets, which should be their priority especially because a lot of wickets have fallen in this edition of the World Cup.
Afghanistan is at the bottom of the table, losing both the games they’ve played. The Gulbadin Naib led side has a good bowling attack but their batsmen are very weak and in their current form won’t be able to support their bowlers. Afghanistan has a good array of spinners and this should pose a threat for New Zealand as they struggled against the Bangladeshi spinners in their last match.
While New Zealand has the superior batting and bowling lineups, Afghanistan cannot be neglected. They have had good individual performances and hopefully, are able to mesh together for this match.

Fantasy Picks from Afghanistan
Mohammad Nabi | Rashid Khan | Najibullah Zadran
- Mohammad Nabi really stepped up in the last game, getting a 4-wicket haul. He also maintained the second lowest economy of 3.33 over 9 overs.
- The lowest economy in the last match (2.17) belonged to Rashid Khan. The bowler has continued to impress with his bowling, having grabbed 3 wickets so far.
- The only consistent Afghanistani batsman is Najibullah Zadran. He’s been the highest scorer in both matches for his team (43 & 51). Hopefully, he is pushed up in the lineup as he is currently 7th in for his team.
Fantasy Picks from New Zealand
Ross Taylor | Matt Henry | Martin Guptill
- Ross Taylor is a very reliable choice for a batsman. His 82 runs off 91 balls in the first match was very impactful, helping the team chase the target of 245 in only 47.1 runs. Partnered with Kane Williamson, the duo have the highest 50 partnerships in New Zealand.
- Blackcaps opener Martin Guptill is the leading run scorer for the team currently (98 runs). He has a good track record on English grounds and will prove beneficial in upcoming matches.
- The beautiful 4 and 3 wicket hauls in both matches really steered the game to their hands. The youngster also maintained a sub 5 average economy in both matches so far.
