• Head coach Fernando Santos named Cristiano Ronaldo in his squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations League matches. The 5-time Ballo d’Or winner will be captaining the side in the tournament.
• The former Real Madrid superstar took a sabbatical from the national set-up after the world cup, in a bid to settle at Juventus.
