As things stand, LAFC are sitting atop the Western Conference with 27 points from 12 games, two points adrift of another early pacesetter Seattle Sounders.

Los Angeles owns a league-best 8-1-3 record, which betters New York Red Bulls’ start in 2018. Bulls went on to collect a league record 71 points last season, which many think could be shattered in 2019.

Against them are FC Dallas, who will be hoping to avoid a two-game skid. The visitors are on a three-game winless run, with the last two ending in defeats, a 2-1 defeat away at Houston and 1-3 at home against a much-changed New York Red Bulls.

Dallas have been outscored 5-2 in that period as well. Head-coach Luchi Gonzalez must find a way to reverse the equation here.
