David Warner has been in terrific form throughout the IPL 2019. And in the match against RCB, his partner Jonny Bairstow too found his mojo and the upshot? The duo scored 185 runs for the first wicket in 98 balls and SRH mustered 231 runs on board that virtually destroyed RCB at Hyderabd.

The Warner-Bairstow show

RCB made the blunder of opening the innings with Moeen Ali as he conceded 14 off the first over. Bairstow swept him for a four on the second ball and then Warner hammered Umesh Yadav for a six on his first ball of the second over.

Since then there was no looking back for the SRH openers and especially   Bairstow. He cantered Mohammad Siraj for back to back boundaries in the fourth and the sixth over.

He then tore apart Ray Barman by hitting him for a six and two successive fours and in the next over smashed Colin de Grandhomme for two sixes on the bounce.

Bairstow, Warner score stunning hundreds

It is very rarely that Warner is overshadowed in a partnership and today was that occasion as Bairstow raced to his hundred in the 16th over.

He finally departed in the 17th over but then Warner delivered the final punches and completed his hundred in the 20th over.

Shell shocked RCB crumble for 113 runs

The daunting task of chasing 12 runs per over was a massive burden for RCB and their batsmen crumbled under pressure.

Mohammad Nabi cleaned up the top order by removing Parthiv Patel, Shimron Hetmyer and ABD in the first four overs.

However it was Sandeep Sharma who delivered the big wicket by dismissing Virat Kohli. Sandeep has got Kohli six times in ten innings, an incredible achievement considering Kohli’s class and form.

Things worsened for RCB as Moeen Ali followed Kohli on the very next ball and in the next over Shivam Dube was out as well.

Colin de Grandhomme and Ray Barman showed some resistance but it was too late and too little. RCB was all out for 113 in 19.5 overs as Nabi picked four and Sandeep Sharma picked three wickets.
