Mumbai secures a win amidst last-ball controversy

The slow-starters of the tournament Mumbai Indians secured their first win of the season after holding their nerve in a high-scoring thriller against Royal Challengers Bangalore on Thursday evening. With 7 runs to defend off the last ball, Mumbai Indians clinched 6 runs win over RCB, courtesy an umpiring error. The last ball of the innings, bowled by Lasith Malinga, was a no-ball but the on-field umpire S Ravi failed to spot it.  The incident has created a furore since then and both the captains were miffed over the mistake.

Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians travels all the way to North for their third encounter. The side faced 37 runs defeat at the hands of Delhi Capitals in the opening fixture but looked quite balanced in the second fixture and would be hoping to continue the momentum.
