Indian Premier League, 2019 | Mumbai Indians vs Delhi Capitals PREVIEW
MI vs DC Dream11 Match Prediction | Who Will Win Today Match
Wankhede, March 24, Sunday at 08:00 PM IST
In the third fixture of IPL 2019, Mumbai Indians will be seen hosting the rejuvenated Delhi Capitals at their home ground – Wankhede Stadium in the evening. While it’s the first doubleheader of the twelfth edition of IPL, 2018 runner ups Sunriser Hyderabad will be seen locking horns with Kolkata Knight Riders at the iconic Eden Gardens in another clash in the afternoon.
Delhi Capitals will be seen in a completely different style tomorrow as they have reshuffled their squads. The side looks much stronger with a couple of new signings including Shikhar Dhawan and Sherfane Rutherford and it will be interesting to watch how far they go this time. Also, Delhi Capitals is one of the sides in the tournament who haven’t managed to clinch the title so far and let’s see if the reshuffle brings in any change to their fortune or not.
On the other side, the three times champions Mumbai Indians failed to make it to the playoffs in the last edition of IPL and Delhi Capitals were one of the main reasons for it. So, they will be looking to avenge their last year’s loss when they host Delhi tomorrow.
Also, all the eyes will be on Yuvraj Singh -who will be donning the blue jersey this year. While the champion has created a lot of fuss on social media with his game in the practice matches, it is yet to be seen if Yuvraj Singh’s inclusion really strengthens MI’s middle order or not.
Head to head :
Total – 22
Mumbai Indians – 11
Delhi Capitals – 11
Pitch Report:
The Wankhede in Mumbai is a true cricketing wicket which has something for all the departments- batting, pacers and spinners. While the surface provides some swing to pacers in the early, it gets easy for the batsmen to score runs as the game wears on. Spinners come into action at the latter part of the game when the surface gets dusky.
