Put into bat first, England managed 182-6 in 20 overs with the help of Joe Root’s fifty and Sam Billings blitzing 87 of just 47 balls down the order. Fabien Allen (2-29) was the pick of the bowler for Windies.

Coming to chase, Windies lost their first wicket at 12 runs in the form of Chris Gayle. Then Shai Hope went back at 13 runs. Darren Bravo and Jason Holder went on consecutive deliveries of C Jordan on duck while the score was 14-4. Nicholas Pooran, C Brathwaite, Shimro Hetmyer then followed the pattern and the whole team was booked for 45-10 in 11.5 overs.

C Jordan (4-6 in 2 overs) was the pick of bowlers for England while David Willey, Adil Rashid and L Plunkett shared two wickets each.
