Ireland proved to be no match for Afghanistan in the T20 series where they were hammered 3-0 in the series. The One Day International series seems to be no different as the Europeans have shown no significant improvement. Afghanistan had won the first ODI with ease before the second match was abandoned due to rain.

Afghanistan and Ireland were deemed to be close competitors before the tour of India. However, it has not been the case and Ireland have been tormented throughout the tour. If anything, the tour has shown how the Irish have a long way to go in the International cricketing arena.
