Having opted to bowl first, Hyderabad started well with the ball and reduced Puducherry to 39-2 in the sixth over but Paras Dogra (89 of 48) resurrected the innings and took the team’s total to a defendable score of 159-6.

Coming to chase, Hyderabad’s run chase was powered by Tanmay Agarwal (31 of 19) and Akshath Reddy (69* of 51) but the collapse in the middle and lower-middle order handed Hyderabad the first defeat of the tournament. At the end of 20 overs, Hyderabad managed 156/9, falling short by 3 runs.

Maharashtra bowls out UP to secure a win 

Uttar Pradesh started their campaign against Maharashtra and faced 12 runs defeat after being bowled out for 137 in response to 150 runs target set by Maharashtra. Put into bat first, Maharashtra posted  149-5 at the end of 20 overs. In reply, Uttar Pradesh fell short of 12 runs and got bowled out for 137 in with three balls to spare despite Samarth Singh’s 61-ball 93.

While both the sides would be looking to secure a win and open their account, a cracking clash is expected to take place tomorrow.
