According to reports, JP Duminy, Hashim Amla and Vernon Philander won’t be available for the fixture. JP Duminy isn’t feeling strong in his shoulder and the Physiotherapist of Cape Cobras said, “Proteas all-rounder JP Duminy’s throwing is not strong enough as a result of his shoulder injury and he won’t be considered for selection for the match against the VKB Knights on Tuesday.”

He added. “Duminy’s batting is looking as strong as ever but he feels uncertain about his bowling and his fielding. He prides himself in his throwing arm and his ability to throw himself around in the field.”

VKB Knights eager to register a first win at home:

The Knights began their tournament by receiving a thumping by the Titans, where they lost by 9 wickets. Much to their dismay, their second fixture – against Lions – was abandoned due to rain. The upcoming game on Tuesday will be the third game for VKB Knights and they will be eager to register their first win in it.

The hosts will surely take confidence from the fact that Cape Cobras won’t be at their best because of some significant absentees.
