GSW vs LAL Dream11 MATCH PREVIEW:
Golden State Warriors will be aiming to get back to winning ways when they host Los Angeles Lakers in an NBA match at Oracle Arena, in Oakland, California, United States, on Sunday morning (IST).
Golden State Warriors headed into the home clash against Philadelphia 76ers in the back of an 11-game winning streak. This was the period when they looked more dangerous and complete than at any other point in the NBA this season.
However, Warriors were without one of their key piece of the jigsaw as Klay Thompson missed the match with an illness.
Sure he would have made a difference but the night belonged to Philadelphia 76ers. They are dangerous, without a shadow of a doubt, but nobody expected them to be that good.
Joel Embiid starred and made the life difficult for Warriors’ guards, scoring 20 points, but importantly had 20 rebounds in the game. For Warriors, Stephen Curry had the match’s best efforts and scored 41 points, while Kevin Durant added 25 points in the match.
Los Angeles Lakers welcomed the King to their roster and won the game in the 123-120 in the over-time against city rivals Los Angeles Clippers. LeBron James scored points and added 14 rebounds to his efforts, while Lance Stephenson scored 20 points from the bench.
Regular Season Record-
Golden State Warriors: W-36, L-15
Los Angeles Lakers: W-27, L-25
Players to watch out for:
Golden State Warriors:
Stephen Curry –He dropped a game-high 41 points in the last game, taking his season average to 29.6 points per game. Arguably the best shooter in Basketball history, the 30-year-old is too unselfish for his talent and pass the ball too many times even from favourable positions. He is Golden State Warriors face now, and he carries the responsibility with aplomb.
Kevin Durant – His numbers have gone down in the last 10 games or so, but it’s because he didn’t need to flex his muscles during the period when the Splash brothers were destroying teams for fun. The former Oklahoma City Thunder star is racking up 27.6 points per game this season.
Los Angeles Lakers:
LeBron James –Though Basketball is a team-game but LeBron James is that sort of player on whose shoulder the whole team moves forward. The 34-year-old returned from a groin injury he suffered on Boxing day and made an instant impact as he dropped a joint game-high 24 points in the match.
The four-time NBA MVP is Lakers’ best player by some distance and is dropping point at 27.2 per game.
Kyle Kuzma –The next in line is Kyle Kuzma who came into his own in the absence of the King. Still just 23, the power forward dug his team out in many games in the last month or so. He is averaging 18.9 points per game, but dropped points at 19.5 per game in the last 10 matches or so.
GSW vs LAL Dream11 TEAM NEWS:
Golden State Warriors:
Injured – The Dubs will be missing the services of Damian Jones. The 23-year-old made a great start to the campaign and was a regular fixture in Warriors’ line-up before a muscle injury cut short his campaign. He has been ruled out for the whole season.
However, with DeMarcus Cousins back fit, this position shouldn’t be a problem for the reigning NBA champions.
Questionable – Klay Thompson missed the last game with an illness and the 27-year-old remains questionable ahead of this match.
Suspended – None.
Los Angeles Lakers:
Injured – Lonzo Ball is the only major absentee for the visitors ahead of this match. The 21-year-old point guard has missed the last five games with an ankle injury he suffered on 19th January against Houston Rockets. He is expected to be out for the next couple of months.
Questionable – None.
Suspended – None.

GSW vs LAL Dream11 Fantasy Team:
INDIA FANTASY PREDICTION:
Golden State Warriors can beat any team in the world on any given day. But the loss against Philadelphia 76ers showed that they are not infallible, especially when some of their big guns miss out on the match.
If Klay Thompson fails to recover in time, Lakers could be more aggressive. And to add more groove to Showtime’s chances, LeBron is back and we all know how badly he carves the big teams.
A win for Los Angeles Lakers is our call.
