MS Dhoni is back in form with the bat but meanwhile, his trademark fast-paced glovework has remained intact and he once again showcased this incredible skill in the second ODI against New Zealand. Dhoni’s quick work behind the stumps stunned Ross Taylor as he was stumped by a fraction of second.
Dhoni: The fastest in stumping?
One of the features of Dhoni’s wicket-keeping is his ability to quickly break the stumps after collecting the ball. Such is his excellence in this aspect that he often beats the batsman in this race.
In the 18th over of New Zealand’s innings, Kedar Jadhav was successful in beating the outside edge of Taylor’s bat. The Kiwi batsman missed the delivery and also went off balance for a moment and this was enough for Dhoni to collect the ball and break the wickets.
Taylor’s back foot was in the air when the Indian wicket-keeper dismantled the stumps and the third umpire ruled Taylor out.

Earlier in the day, the Indian cricketer played a crucial inning to take India to 324 runs. After a good start from the openers, Team India’s scoring rate reduced in the middle overs and the wickets of Kohli and Rayudu pushed India on the back-foot.
But the Indian wicket-keeper continued his purple patch and scored 48 runs off just 33 balls. He took his time and then went berserk in the last two overs.
This is the third consecutive innings in which Dhoni has remained not-out.
This year is going to be Legendary!
