New Zealand vs India DREAM11 GRAND LEAGUE TEAM | New Zealand vs India | India tour of New Zealand
Mount Maunganui, January 26, Saturday at 07:30 AM IST
After kick-starting the tour with a convincing eight wickets win in the one-sided affair at Napier, India will be looking to go forward in the series when both the sides will reload at Bay Oval, Mount Maunganui tomorrow morning for the second ODI.
It was the spin-duo Kuldeep-Chahal show at Napier with the hosts at the receiving end. The duo accounted for six wickets in the first ODI and now New Zealand would be looking for spin solutions ahead of the second ODI. Apart from skipper Kane Williamson, none of the Kiwi batters managed to overcome the spin threat. Well moving on, New Zealand would be looking to bounce back and gain the momentum with which they clean-swept Sri Lanka and it will be interesting to watch how they deal with the spin duo.
India, on the other side of the coin, would be relieved with having three wicket-takers in the side. M Shami’s returns, Bhuvaneshwar’s economical spells and Kuldeep- Chahal’s domination well worked for the side in the first ODI making it easier for the batters. The Men in Blue will most probably go unchanged tomorrow.
Form guide (most recent first)
New Zealand: L, W, W, W, L
India: W, W, W, L, W
Pitch Report:Â
Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui generally favours pacers than spinners. However, they are more expensive in contrast to spinners and a high-scoring affair is expected.
New Zealand’s winning percentage at Bay oval is 50.
In a total of 6 encounters played at bay Oval, New Zealand have encountered three wins and three defeats
NZ vs IND Team News:
- The visitors are expected to remain unchanged
- New Zealand might think of bringing in Ish Sodhi back in playing11 after seeing Indian wrist spinners magic in first ODI.

NZ VS IND DREAM11 GRAND LEAGUE TEAMS
Team 1: Predict the winner
New Zealand would be eager to bounce back at Bay Oval. Also, the fact that India’s wrist spinners especially Kuldeep and Chahal get easier to play after one game can support this idea. England played them better after succumbing in Nottingham last year while same was the case with Australia who picked Kuldeep in Sydney ODI after being troubled in Sydney Test.
Team 2: If New Zealand opts to go for Ish Sodhi
Looking after the spin domination in the first ODI where no turn was expected, New Zealand might rope in Ish Sodhi in the playing11. Sodhi accounted for five wickets in two matches against Sri Lanka and might do the job for the hosts.
New Zealand might also rope in Colin de Grandhomme to strengthen their batting.
Team 3: If India’s top order fires again
Hitman Rohit Sharma hasn’t scored a fifty in his last three outings and this could be the game when we can see him at the firing end. Also, Rohit Sharma has managed at least one century in each of his last ten ODI series.
Team 4: Drop all the favourites
- 89.74 % teams had V Kohli in the first ODI while 76% of teams have Kohli for tomorrow’s game
- 75.36% people chose Rohit Sharma over S Dhawan in first ODI
- 80.86 % teams had K Williamson in the first ODI while 85.86% teams already have Williamson in their ranks for tomorrow’s clash
- Kuldeep Yadav and Y Chahal are in more than 75% fantasy teams for tomorrow’s game
