It was perhaps an anti-climax in the first ODI between New Zealand and India. A highly-anticipated match ended in a one-sided affair and where scores beyond 300 were expected, the home team barely managed to reach 150.
But now the second ODI brings new prospects for New Zeland. Kane Williamson looked solid as ever and Ferguson’s pace was noticeable in the first ODI. Apart from it the home team has a strong side that can turnaround things in quick succession and hence Team India have a big challenge in front of them. And the visitors would be banking on these three players to up the ante.
#3. Rohit Sharma-
India best ODI batsman after Kohli, Sharma can win India games single-handedly. The small boundaries and flat surface can bring the best out of Sharma and hence he is someone to watch out for.
However, Rohit’s success depends on whether he can handle the swing of Boult and Southee and the pace of Ferguson.
#2. Virat Kohli-
The Indian captain looked in ominous touch in the first ODI before he was done in by a Ferguson bouncer. He has a short history of getting troubled by bouncers and it will be interesting to see whether the Kiwis go for it in the second ODI. It will be a contest worth watching.
Kohli is rested for the last two ODIs which means he has only two innings left in New Zealand and he will be itching to stamp his dominance.
#1.Kuldeep Yadav-

And India’s match-winner is back in form. Kuldeep had a below-par performance in Australia which led Kohli to drop him as well but in the first ODI, he showed that he still has the magic in him.
But interestingly, Kuldeep’s wickets included tailenders and the real challenge for him will be to neutralize Ross Taylor and Williamson in middle overs.
