Ronaldo’s ‘Crazy’ penalty technique:
Real Madrid went under pressure after Adrien Rabiot’s opener which made PSG lead by 1-0, but the Portuguese forward and Marcelo gave Real a handy advantage. The first goal scored by Ronaldo from the penalty spot caused a bit of fuss online.
Initially, nothing seemed extraordinary about the strike but the closer inspection of his technique reveals its peculiarity.
Ronaldo’s left foot appears to plant next to the spot, causing the ball to pop and allow him to get a cleaner strike.
Rio Ferdinand claimed in the BT Sport studio, that it was nothing new from his former Manchester United team-mate as he used to practice the technique while playing for Manchester United too.
