Twitter slams Team India for not picking Bhuvi for 2nd Test

Team India made a brave call ahead of the Perth Test and picked four pace bowlers in their playing eleven. However, India included Umesh Yadav ahead of Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the team and this decision hasn’t gone well with some fans who have questioned Indian team management’s decision on Twitter.

India pick Ishant, Bumrah, Shami and Umesh 

The green and hard surface at Perth enticed Team India to field a four-man pace attack for the only third time in the history.

And while picking his four pacers Indian skipper Virat Kohli went ahead with Ishant Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Shami who played in the first Test and included Umesh Yadav as the fourth pacer.

This meant Bhuvneshwar Kumar had to warm the benches for the second Test in a row.

The decision to not include Bhuvi on a wicket with plenty of grass and movement has disappointed the fans who expressed their dissent on Twitter.

Fans slam Kohli and Team management for not choosing Bhuvi 

Soon after India declared their playing eleven for the second Test against Australia, fans tweeted their disappointment and questioned Kohli’s decision.

The right-hand pace bowler has played 21 Tests so far and has claimed 63 wickets. He has an impressive average of 26.09 and strikes every 53 balls.

Australia off to a flying start 

Meanwhile, the hosts have got off to a flying start after winning the toss. Opening batsman Marcus Harris has looked solid so far and has reached his maiden Test fifty.

His opening partner Aaron Finch looked good too and the duo scored 112 runs for the first wicket. Importantly the Aussie opening pair kept India wicket-less in the first session of the Test ensuring Australia start on a high note.

Finch perished after lunch at his individual score of 50 runs but he did the crucial job of seeing off the new ball.
