HOU vs MIN DREAM11 MATCH PREVIEW:
Minnesota Timberwolves will be playing host to Houston Rockets in an NBA match at Target Center, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on Tuesday morning (IST).
Minnesota Timberwolves:
Minnesota Timberwolves fell to a revived Boston Celtics in their last match, losing 109-118 at Target Center.
Gordon Hayward was demoted to bench once again after his slow start, but the Greens’ guard scored in crucial moments and Wolves’ players have no answer to his precision and intensity late in the game as he ended up with his season-best efforts 30 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists.
Derrick Rose, the 2011 NBA MVP, starred led the charge from the bench, scoring a game-high 26 points in the match.
Timberwolves are in a very good form despite losing the game against Celtics. They have won a staggering seven times in the last 10 games and could move to the playoff spots with a win in this match.
Houston Rockets:
Houston Rockets are blowing hot and cold so far this campaign. They started the season with a big 112-131 loss against New Orleans Pelicans, followed by a 115-124 win over the Los Angeles Lakers. Then came a four-game losing streak which they snapped in Brooklyn by beating the Nets 111-119 on the road.
Again after splitting the next four, came a five winning streak which included the victories over Indiana Pacers, Detroit Pistons and Golden State Warriors. So it looked as if Rockets were out of their slump. But it was a false indicator.
The next three-game road-trip ended in three losses, while the last two have brought two wins over the San Antonio Spurs and Chicago Bulls respectively.
These are the little streaks which have crocked up their season up until now, and Rockets must raise their games significantly if they are to reach the level of the 2017-18 season.
Regular Season Record-
Minnesota Timberwolves: W-11, L-12
Houston Rockets: W-11, L-11
Players to watch out for:
Minnesota Timberwolves:
Karl-Anthony Towns – He has taken the role of ‘superstar’ at Minnesota Timberwolves since the departure of Jimmy Butler to Philadelphia 76ers. The 23-year-old is having a decent season and is averaging 20.6 points per game.
He is also racking up rebounds at 12.0 per game, making him a very good inclusion in your NBA fantasy team.
Derrick Rose – He normally plays from the bench and could easily be the best player representing the 2nd units across both the conferences. The 2011 NBA MVP is scoring at 19.3 points per game.
Houston Rockets:
James Harden – Despite Houston Rockets struggling this season, James Harden is still racking up insane numbers this season. You can’t doubt his ability and consistency. The reigning NBA MVP is averaging 30.6 points per game, 33.1 per game in the last 10 games.
He is also adding pretty impressive numbers in rebounds and assists as well.
Chris Paul – He is not touching the highs of last season, Rockets’ struggle and his own injury problems could be the reason. However, the former Los Angeles Clippers star is a very very good player and can single-handedly change the course of the match.
