The second semi-final of the ICC Women’s World Twenty20 will see the Women in Blue square-off against England as both sides aim to stake their claim to the summit clash at Antigua.

India has been imperious in the tournament thus far. The Women in Blue en-route to their first semi-final spot since 2010 finished the Group-stage unbeaten with resounding wins over Australia and the White Ferns’.

Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur spearheaded India’s campaign with a swashbuckling hundred in the tournament opener against the White Ferns’ and the likes of Rodriques, Mandhana and Mithali Raj have all contributed to the cause at different stages of the league-stage while the spin-heavy bowling attack has applied the choke on the opposition.

India will, however, want more from the likes of Veda Krishnamurthy and Dayalan Hemlatha in case the top-order fails against a very strong English bowling line-up.

England lost Katherine Brunt before the start of the tournament but Natalie Sciver has spearheaded the bowling attack with aplomb choking the opposition batting with disdain.

But, England’s batting will need to step up against a spin-heavy Indian attack. No English batter features in the top-10 and the onus will be on Beaumont, Wyatt and Jones to spearhead the batting unit and upset India’s plans of choking their middle-order with spin.
