Who won the last Border Gavaskar Trophy in Australia?
India enters the series riding high on the back of historic successes Down Under in 2018-19 and 2020-21, making them the first Asian side to claim back-to-back Test series wins in Australia. However, with their last home triumph in this series dating back to 2014-15, Pat Cummins’ Australians are hungry to reclaim the trophy.
The first Test promises to be a battle of skill and nerves, with India looking to extend their dominance over Australia.
The pith and conditions at Perth, with its lightning-fast outfield and lively pitch, will test both sides. While Australia aims to capitalize on the home advantage, Team India’s adaptability and mental resilience make them a tough opponent.
