MI vs RCB IPL 2024 Match 25 Match-Ups: Top 5 Player Battles to Watch Out For

Mumbai Indians will face off against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the 25th match of IPL 2024 (April 11, 2024, at 7:30 pm) at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

1. Virat Kohli vs Jasprit Bumrah

Both are in superb form. Virat has hit the most runs in the IPL 2024, and Bumrah is taking wickets consistently. He has dismissed Virat four times in the IPL, but the former RCB captain has scored 140 off 92 balls off him at a strike rate of 152.2.

2. Rohit Sharma vs Mohammed Siraj

One of the biggest weapons that RCB have to nullify Rohit Sharma is the pace of Mohammed Siraj. The 30-year-old pacer can swing the ball at good speeds and can move away from the batter and bring it into the batter. Siraj also knows Rohit Sharma’s penchant to throw his hands at the away going delivery and will want to capitalize on this weakness. However, Siraj has never got the wicket of Rohit Sharma in the IPL history.

3. Rohit Sharma vs Reece Topley in T20I

Rohit Sharma has been doing pretty well this season and has been giving good starts to MI in almost every game. His wicket will be very important because he can take the score out of reach for RCB. However, he will be up against Reece Topley, who has done well against him. Topley has dismissed Rohit three times in international cricket, and this will be the first time these two will be up against each other in the IPL.

4. Glenn Maxwell vs Piyush Chawla

Glenn Maxwell has had a horrible season so far with the bat. He has done well with the ball, but his primary role is batting and scoring runs. 5. Suryakumar Yadav vs Cameron Green in T20I

The no.1 T20 batter Suryakumar Yadav is back in the MI camp. He got out on a duck in his 1st match of IPL 2024. In the meantime, he will be facing Cameron Green in the middle overs. However, Green has sent him back once in T20I.

Gerald Coetzee is the leading wicket-taker for MI in the IPL 2024 with 7 wickets. He will be bowling at fellow countrymen Faf du Plessis. This will be another great battle. Du Plessis might be under a bit of pressure because of his current form. This will be the first time these two will be up against each other. Du Plessis will look to get some runs, but it will be hard against the pace and swing of Coetzee.

One of the best but the most underrated battles will be between Ishan Kishan and Mohammed Siraj. The bowler has sent back the batter twice in the IPL while the latter made 50 runs in 40 balls against the former with a strike rate of 125.0.
