When is David Miller expected to return for Gujarat Titans?
The South African powerhouse is set to miss the next two weeks of the Indian Premier League 2024 season due to a niggle.
Kane Williamson, stepping in for Miller, made a valuable contribution of 26 runs from 22 deliveries in the match, as confirmed during the mid-innings show with the broadcaster.
Miller’s absence poses a significant setback for GT, given his impactful performances since joining the franchise in 2022. Renowned for his aggressive batting style, Miller showcased his prowess with a blazing knock of 44 runs from 27 deliveries against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in GT’s last match. Additionally, he contributed a quick-fire 21 from 16 balls against Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
“Nice to be out there with the guys. A shame to lose David (Miller) for a week or two,” remarked Kane Williamson during the mid-innings show, acknowledging Miller’s absence from the squad.
Despite Miller’s absence, Gujarat Titans have displayed impressive form, securing two consecutive victories at their home ground. Victories over Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Narendra Modi Stadium have showcased Gujarat’s strength, particularly in the bowling department.
As GT aims to maintain their winning momentum before hitting the road again, the return of David Miller will be eagerly anticipated. While specific details regarding Miller’s return remain undisclosed, GT fans will be hopeful for his swift recovery and eagerly await his comeback to bolster the team’s batting lineup.
