GT vs SRH IPL 2024 Match 12 Match-Ups: Top 5 Player Battles to Watch Out For

Gujarat Titans will face off against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the twelfth match of IPL 2024 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

With a win and a loss each, there is little to separate Gujarat Titans (GT) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). Yet, it is the latter that will take to the field with more confidence when they meet at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Sunday.

GT, after opening with a nervous six-run win over Mumbai Indians, suffered a 63-run drubbing at Chennai Super Kings’ hands that sent its net run-rate south. SRH, following the narrow four-run defeat to Kolkata Knight Riders, raked up IPL’s highest-ever total (277) before going on to beat MI by 31 runs.

The two teams have faced each other three times with GT having a narrow 2-1 lead over SRH.

1. Shubnman Gill vs Bhuvneshwar Kumar in IPL

Though Shubman hit his IPL century last year against SRH at this stadium, this could be another test for him to face Bhuvi. As we are talking about that match, Bhuvi even got a five-wicket haul in that particular match with just conceding 30 runs in his 4-over spell. Gill has historically struggled putting Bhuvneshwar away at the IPL, scoring only 50 runs in 48 balls while being dismissed three times in nine innings. He also has a strike rate of only 94.4 against Unadkat.

2. Abhishek Sharma vs Rashid Khan

In 23 balls, Abhishek has hit Rashid for three fours and three sixes, averaging a boundary every 3.6 deliveries. His strike rate against Rashid is 204 overall and this IPL, he is scoring at 226.

3. Mayank Agarwal vs Umesh Yadav

Mayank Agarwal has struggled against Umesh Yadav in the powerplay. He has faced 33 balls in 7 IPL matches and could manage to score only 32 runs. This will be a great battle to watch out for again.

4. Heinrich Klaasen vs Rashid Khan

Henrich Klaasen is in tremendous form this season, coming from two back-to-back fifties. Moreover, he was the only batter whose batting (64 off 44) clicked in the previous encounter between these two teams at this particular stadium. He has dominated Rashid Khan in the IPL otherwise, scoring 61 off 31 against Rashid’s turning skill.
