After enduring a horrible night at the intimidating Westfalenstadion against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League, Atletico Madrid must bury the ghosts when they host Real Sociedad in La Liga on Saturday night.

Atletico Madrid:
The 4-0 thumping at the hand of Lucien Favre’s team in Dortmund summed up the last one week for Atletico. They failed to beat a Villarreal side which is reeling around the relegation zone and then they headed to Germany and suffered the heaviest defeat ever in the Diego Simeone’s era.

Considering how the game played out at Dortmund, Simeone must be aiming for a perfect response from his players in the game against Real Sociedad. But the could be anything but an easy outing for the hosts as the Basque side have a good momentum with them and are well-equipped to cause an upset at the Wanda Metropolitano.

Also, Atletico have their own problems now. They may be one of the toughest team to score against, but Simeone’s men have kept just one clean sheet in the last four games. While the suspension of Juanfran will make the job even more difficult for the hosts.
