Mark your calendars, kabaddi enthusiasts! The eagerly awaited Pro Kabaddi League Season 10 is all set to kick off on December 2, as announced by the organisers, Marshal Sports, on August 17. This milestone edition of the league is poised to captivate fans with its return to the dynamic 12-city caravan format.
A total of 12 teams will vie for supremacy in the upcoming season, with 137 matches scheduled, including the exhilarating playoffs stage. The roster features prominent teams like Bengal Warriors, Bengaluru Bulls, Dabang Delhi K.C, Gujarat Giants, Haryana Steelers, Jaipur Pink Panthers, Patna Pirates, Puneri Paltan, Tamil Thalaivas, Telugu Titans, U Mumba, and U.P. Yoddhas.
The competition will unfold through a comprehensive format, wherein each team faces its opponents twice in a double round-robin style. Following the league matches, the top six teams will secure their spots in the playoffs, marking a crucial juncture in the battle for the championship title.
The top two teams in the standings will secure a direct passage to the semi-finals of PKL Season 10. The remaining four teams will engage in the high-stakes eliminators, where the third-placed team will take on the sixth-placed side, while the fourth and fifth-placed outfits lock horns for a coveted semi-final berth.
When is Pro Kabaddi Season 10 Auction?
The anticipation is further heightened with the Pro Kabaddi League Season 10 Auction scheduled for September 8-9 in Mumbai.
Ahead of the auction, all participating teams have unveiled their retained players’ list, encompassing a diverse talent pool across categories.
A total of 84 players have been retained, spanning Elite Retained Players (ERP), Retained Young Players (RYP), and Existing New Young Players (ENYP). The auction promises excitement as players like Maninder Singh, Pawan Sehrawat, and Vikash Kandola are slated to go under the hammer.
The defending champions, Jaipur Pink Panthers, led by captain Sunil Kumar, showcased their mettle by triumphing over Puneri Paltan in the PKL 2022 final. This dynamic team, which also claimed the inaugural title in 2014, is ready to defend their crown against formidable opponents.
