West Indies and India will be up against each other in the third T20I of the five-match series in the same venue as the last game. A must-win game for India will start at 8 PM IST on August 8 at Providence Stadium, Guyana.
The last game saw India batting first and posting 152 on the board, courtesy of Tilak Varma’s knock of 51 off 41 balls. In reply, Nicholas Pooran smashed 67 off 40 balls to pave the way for the Caribbean team to take a lead of 2-0 in the series.
Providence Stadium Pitch Report
The pitch at Providence Stadium in Guyana is a difficult one and is not one of the easiest tracks to play on. Scoring here is tough, which was quite evident with the display of both teams in the last game. A total of around 160 will be challenging, but is not necessarily a winning score.
The conditions are expected to be cloudy, and rain is on the forecast as well, which could play a major role in the course of the game. Check WI vs IND 3rd T20I Weather Report.
Providence Stadium batting or bowling pitch?
Generally, the bowlers have dominance on this track. It went difficult for the batters to play on it in the second game. Both the left-handers, Pooran and Tilak scored well, but the rest of the batters of both teams weren’t able to get going.
Hence, the batters will have to be patient and hit the bad balls to compensate. The spinners might try to do their tricks and could get the help from the wicket. Akeal Hosein and Yuzvendra Chahal got their grip in the last one to pick up a couple of wickets each.
India, especially, will have to counter the bowling well enough, as West Indies have been proficient to break partnerships and secure frequent breakthroughs.

WI vs IND 3rd T20I: CAN INDIA SAVE THE SERIES?
West Indies had a perfect last game, with bowlers doing their job and the batters just finishing it off in style.
India, batting first, did not see anyone in great touch except a good knock from Tilak Varma and a few runs from Ishan Kishan at the top. The other batters in the line-up will need to step up, as this is going to be a must-win game to remain in the series.
Moreover, fast bowlers like Arshdeep Singh and Hardik Pandya will have to play out of their skin to put the pressure on Caribbean team. It will be interesting to see if the visitors can bring their A-game to save the series.
