The incident
The former Indian left-arm spinner made this blunder during the second ODI between India and Windies which was played at Vizag. Second ODI ends in a tie
The duo of Shimron Hetmyer and Shai Hope between whom Murali kartik got confused were the architects of Windies’ stunning response to India’s total of 321 runs.

The pair laid the foundation for the chase by adding 143 runs for the fourth wicket. Shimron Hetmyer continued to trash Indian bowlers in the second consecutive match and raced to 94 runs off just 64 balls with the help of seven stunning sixes. However, he was undone by Yuzvendra Chahal in the 32nd over.
But Hope stood tall and anchored the chase till the end. He produced his second ODI hundred and then carved a boundary through point on the last ball of the innings to level the scores and to deny India the second win in as many games in this series.
The terrific effort by Shai Hope and Hetmyer has given something to cheer for to the Windies fans as Windies lost both the Tests heavily and the first ODI as well.
