It was yet another run feat as close to 650 runs were scored in the second ODI between India and Windies at Vizag. Virat Kohli’s outrageous batting that resulted in his 37th ODI ton and Shai Hope’s breath-taking century in the chase highlighted the match that ended in a tie. But the game also had few more statistical highlights.
Virat Kohli today ran one short. And India tied the game #INDvWI.

In this game, the Indian captain scored 157* and in the process completed 10000 runs in ODI cricket. He is the quickest to reach to this feat with 205 innings while the previous record holder Sachin Tendulkar took 259 innings.

Interestingly all of Shai Hope’s ODI centuries have ended in ties. His first century came in the match against Zimbabwe in 2016 and he scored his second century in the 2nd ODI versus India.
Shai Hope, now the only ODI batsman to score two 100s in tied ODI games. In August 2017, he had became the only batsman to register 100s in each innings in any first-class match at the Headingley cricket ground in Leeds. He did so in the Test match.#INDvWI
