Dinesh’s cricket journey began in 2012 when he started practicing at St. Sophia Sports Academy in Haryana. Under the guidance of his coach, Ranveer Jakhar, Dinesh honed his skills and developed a deep admiration for former cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, considering him his idol. One aspect of Dinesh’s game that received high praise was his wicketkeeping, which he diligently worked on, often practicing for eight to nine hours a day.
While Dinesh typically played in the middle-order, his coach believed that if given the opportunity to bat higher up the order, his exceptional batting abilities would capture the attention of the entire cricketing world. This notion was supported by Dinesh’s remarkable performance in the Challenger Trophy, where he played for India F against India B and scored a sensational 170 runs off just 98 balls. In the Challenger Trophy, Dinesh had an impressive average of 85, accumulating a total of 255 runs and finishing as the fifth-highest run-scorer in the tournament.
