Gayle’s extensive experience in T20 cricket has seen him represent an impressive 29 different teams, including Lahore Qalandars and Quetta Gladiators in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), as well as Team Punjab, Team Bangalore, and Team Kolkata in the Indian T20 League.
In 2006, Gayle made his T20I debut for the West Indies against New Zealand. However, his inaugural T20I innings saw him only scoring 10 runs off 14 balls. It wasn’t until his third T20I match against England in 2007 that he achieved his first half-century in this format. Shortly after, Gayle achieved his first century in T20 cricket during the opening match of the 2007 ICC World Twenty20 against South Africa.
