It was quite unfortunate for the Kolkata Knight Riders recently in the ongoing Indian Premier League 2023 as they suffered a comprehensive 7-wicket loss at the hands of Gujarat Titans in their last game. The Kolkata Knight Riders will surely be aiming to make a strong fightback in this game against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

SRH vs KKR: Why is Johnson Charles Not Playing Today’s Match IPL?

Kolkata Knight Riders have not included West Indies batsman Johnson Charles in their playing XI for this SRH vs KKR match on Thursday. It is still not clear whether the West Indian batter has joined the Kolkata Knight Riders camp for IPL 2023 or not as he was recently signed by the team as a replacement player in place of Litton Das who returned back to Bangladesh due to some emergency and will take no further part in the remainder of the tournament. Charles will soon be joining the KKR camp and will be interesting to see when the hard-hitting batsman will be available for selection.

We have had injuries in many games, but they’re back now. We’re playing an extra batter due to the impact rule, need to get those 10-15 extra runs.
