Akash Madhwal began his domestic cricket career in T20s and played his first T20 A match on November 8th, 2019, for Uttarakhand against Karnataka at Visakhapatnam. Since then, he has participated in 22 T20 cricket matches and taken 24 wickets while maintaining an economy of 7.43.

In February 2021, Madhwal made his debut in List A cricket against Meghalaya. Since then, he has played in 17 List A matches, where he has taken 18 wickets and maintained an economy of 4.88.
