The Super Kings are the table toppers currently, on the other hand, the Royals have suddenly succumbed to two losses on the trot and have made a few changes to their eleven. One of those changes is the omission of Riyan Parag.

In what seems to be a decision on expected lines, Rajasthan Royals have once again left out Riyan Parag from their starting 11. This is the second match on the trot when Rajasthan Royals have dropped their out of form all-rounder. Riyan also didn’t feature in the last game against Royal Challengers Bangalore which RR lost. However, in this fixture, Riyan is named among the substitutes and could come into the game if needed to strengthen RR’s batting. Here’s what RR’s skipper Sanju Samson said at the toss,

“We would like to bat first. We like to stick to our strength, which is to defend. It feels really great to play RR’s 200th game, feels great to be playing for 10 years. Would love to see some pink here today, but it’s yellow and we know that the reason is (smiles). Boult misses out due to a niggle, Zampa is playing in his place.
