The Mumbai Indians once again did not had the best of starts to their IPL 2023 campaign as they suffered a poor 8-wicket defeat at the hands of Royal Challengers Bangalore in their previous game. The recent reports suggest that the England fast bowler is a doubtful starter for this game after his below par performance in the last match against Royal Challengers Bangalore where he went wicketless and conceded 33 runs in his four overs. Mumbai Indians are already without their premier bowler Jasprit Bumrah and now with Archer also not available for this important match, their bowling looks very much inexperienced and weak. MI are very much likely to play both left-arm pacer Jason Behrendorff and right-arm speedster Riley Meredith who came in as a replacement for the injured Jhye Richardson.
