Pant bails out India at a tricky situation
After restricting Windies to 311, India got off to a solid start. But the visitors staged a strong comeback by picking up quick wickets in the afternoon session. Pant walked to the crease with Team India four down for 162. Windies was still ahead of India and only the tailenders were to bat for India. In this tricky situation, the left-hander backed his instincts and played his natural game. By the time the day ended, Pant was still at the crease and India was just few runs behind the visitors.
It was expected that the wicket-keeper batsman will get a big score today. However he failed to make any impact in the morning. He added only seven runs to his overnight score of 85 and was dismissed by Gabriel.
