In 2021, RCB had a good season and finished fourth. In the 2022 season RCB were under the leadership of South Africa’s Faf du Plessis after Virat Kohli stepped down from captaincy at the conclusion of the 2022 season. The team made it to the second qualifier but unfortunately got eliminated by Rajasthan Royals.
