Despite his impressive performances, Unadkat went unsold in the 2018 IPL auction before being picked up by the Rajasthan Royals as a late replacement for the injured Zahir Khan. In a remarkable turnaround of fortunes, Unadkat finished the season with 11 wickets in 15 matches at an average of 44.18.
