India vs New Zealand: 3 Changes New Zealand can make for IND vs NZ 3rd T20I

India vs New Zealand: After the Kiwis’ victory in Ranchi, Team India bounced back in the second game strongly. On a terrible pitch not at all suited for the 20-over game, the Blackcaps managed just 99 runs. In response, Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya saw Team India over the line in a slightly tense finish. With the series levelled, a thrilling finale is set up at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad for tomorrow. Here are three changes New Zealand can make for the decider.

1. Dane Cleaver in place of Mark Chapman

Dane Cleaver is the cousin of Kane Williamson. In addition to Devon Conway, Finn Allen, and Glenn Philips, Cleaver is also a wicket-keeper batsman. He has an average of over 40 in the four-day format and has centuries in all formats. The hard hitting batsman has an impressive strike rate and he can come in for Mark Champan. Chapman was dismissed for nought in the first game in Ranchi while he struggled against spin in Lucknow.

2. Henry Shipley in place of Jacob Duffy

Jacob Duffy has been expensive in both games with just one wicket to show for his efforts. He had also gone for over 100 runs in the final ODI. He could be replaced by Henry Shipley for the final T20 game. Shipley had bowled well in the first two ODIs and taken three wickets. He is also no muck with the bat and can add valuable runs down the order.

3. Ben Lister in place of Blair Tickner 

We will find soon find out whether Ben Lister will finally make his much awaited debut. He was recently named Auckland Cricket’ Player of the Year. Tickner has been lucky to be in the side as key bowlers Tim Southee, Trent Boult, Adam Milne, and Matt Henry are either injured or rested. He was expensive in the first game while he just bowled a solitary over in the second, going wicketless in the process.
