How to Play 8 Ball Pool?
The 8-Ball pool game is a call-shot game in which players nominate their pockets in which to sink the 8-Ball. It consists of a total of sixteen billiard balls, including one cue ball and the other fifteen object balls. 1 to 7 of the 15 balls are solid colors, and the remaining 9 are stripes.
Players who begin this game must hit at least four balls to the cushion of the billiard table; otherwise, the balls are re-racking. This condition is called a break.
One player who first pockets an object ball of either stripes or solids has to continue to pocket all the same types of balls. And their opponent must pocket only the opposite ball group the first player.
At last, they pocket the black 8-ball in its pocket, and the one who does this work first wins the game.
What are 8 Ball Pool Rules?
Before beginning the game, all sixteen billiard balls are placed inside a rack. Remain conscious that the black 8-ball should be in the middle of the third row and the apex ball at the foot of the rack. Place this rack at the lower end of the table and keep all stripes and solid-color balls in random order.
Second, the computer chooses a player at random to break first in each turn. To set up this turn to a legal break, this player has to hit a cue ball in order for at least four balls to strike the cushion of the table, and a cue ball does not go down in a pocket.
If a black 8-ball goes inside a pocket on the break, the other player entitles to re-rack.Â
The first player to pot an object ball continues to pot balls of the same category, either stripes or solid colors. The competitor pots the other group of balls.
A player maintains consistent shots until they commit a foul or fail to pot an object ball. The gameplay will continue in this manner for the remainder of the time.Â
If a player commits a foul, the opponent can place a cue ball wherever he wants on the table.Â
When a player’s balls are all potted, they proceed to sink a black 8-ball. In this case, they have to nominate a pot as per their preference where they would like to pocket the eight-ball. If they fail to do so, an opponent returns to the table. And if they take the money from the nominated pot, they lose the game.
