India and New Zealand are currently locking horns in the three-match T20I series. The hosts have taken a 1-0 lead in the series after their sensational show in the first game. The focus now shifts towards the second game, which will be a series deciding game. The second T20I between India and New Zealand is slated to take place on 29th January in Lucknow. Although, India won the game but there were a few areas of concerns for them and they would want to rectify the mistakes from the first game in second. Let’s take a look at 3 Changes India can make for IND vs NZ 2nd T20I.
1. Prithvi Shaw in place of Shubman Gill
Prithvi Shaw could be in line for the second game against New Zealand. The right-hander could replace Shubman Gill in the team. The Punjab batter scored just 7 runs in the first game and with him likely to play a crucial role in the upcoming Border Gavaskar Trophy, team can look to rest him. Shaw on the other hand has been in the staggering form in domestic cricket as he recently scored triple ton in Ranji Trophy and also has been in fine form in white-ball as well.
2. Yuzvendra Chahal in place of Shivam Mavi
Another change that India could be tempted to do for the second game is they might bring Yuzvendra Chahal in place of Shivam Mavi. With Lucknow ground having big boundaries, the leg-spinner could turn out to be handy comparatively than the pacer. Also Mavi was touch expensive in the first game as he conceded 19 runs in 2 overs. Chahal on the other hand has been decent in T20Is and therefore could be in line to play the second game.
Concerning to see Arshdeep being unable to execute the very skill that got him into the team – death bowling. Been that way for a while, even when he's bowled well with the new ball.
Hopefully he can get it back sooner than later.

3. Mukesh Kumar in place of Arshdeep Singh
Mukesh Kumar could be in line to make a debut in the second T20I against New Zealand. He can replace Arshdeep Singh, who has looked off colours in the first game. He conceded 51 runs in the first game and didn’t look stable as well. With him struggling to get going, team can look to give debut cap to Mukesh Kumar and test his skills. The bowler hasn’t played in any IPL game but has been performing well in the domestic circuit. Therefore he could be one of the change that India could make for the second game.
