It is the first time that the full ICC Cricket World Cup will be hosted in India. The tournament will be the 13th edition of the men’s World Cup. India has hosted the World Cup three times, in 1987, 1996, and 2011, along with other countries.
Pakistan might be the dark horses because of their familiarity with playing in sub-continental conditions. In terms of developing its team for the future, South Africa is moving in the right direction. However, according to ourprediction, India will probably win the 2023 ODI World Cup.
India to win the 2023 ODI World Cup?
India has twice missed the World Cup final in the past 12 years, finishing in the semi-finals in 2015 and 2019. With 14 victories during the previous year, the Men in Blue had a victory rate of 58.33%. These figures show that the squad was performing well, but there is still much space for growth.
So, looking ahead to the 2023 World Cup, we are predicting a potential Indian team. Captain Rohit Sharma and seasoned star Virat Kohli are in charge of the batting and are aiming to repeat their 2011 victory. Established talents like Shreyas Iyer, Suryakumar Yadav, and Shubman Gill will be the team’s other batters.
Super-fit athletes like Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja, as well as players like Axar Patel and Washington Sundar, will make up the team’s all-rounders.
Jasprit Bumrah will be the head of the Indian bowling attack and he should be able to play in the World Cup. The pace battery, which also includes Muhammad Shami, Mohammed Siraj, Arshdeep Singh, and Umran Malik will be led by Bumrah. Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav who were on top of their game under MS Dhoni should also be part of the team.
