Overall, he stands jointly at the second spot with Pakistan opener Imam-ul-Haq and just behind Pakistan’s other opener Fakhar Zaman who took 18 innings to achieve this feat.
2. Youngest to score a double century in ODIs
Gill aged 23 years and 132 days is the youngest batter to score a double century in ODIs. Ishan Kishan who scored a double century last year in December against Bangladesh in Chattogram held this record previously. At that time, Ishan was aged 24 years and 145 days.
3. Highest individual scorer in Hyderabad in ODIs
Shubman Gill has eclipsed Sachin Tendulkar’s record of highest individual ODI score in Hyderabad. Sachin scored 186 in the year 1999, but Shubman Gill with his scintillating 208 is now the highest individual scorer in Hyderabad in an ODI.
