Bangladesh vs India 2nd Test: The Indian men are set to face Bangladesh on Thursday (December 22) at 9:00 AM (IST). It’s the second and final match of the two-match Test series and will be played at Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur (Dhaka).

Bangladesh, earlier, after winning the three-match ODI series lost the first Test of the series on December 18. Considering an opponent like India, Bangladesh will be keen to at least level the series.

On the other hand, India will be definitely looking to win the derby anyway. The side is still in the race to the World Test Championship Final at the Lord’s in 2023 and the KL Rahul-led men can’t afford a defeat at all.

In the first Test earlier, India’s first innings comprised the fifties from Cheteshwar Pujara, Shreyas Iyer, and Ravichandran Ashwin. Pujara topped the scorecard with his cautious innings of 90 runs in 203 balls with 11 boundaries in it. India posted a decent first innings total of 404 runs. And for Bangladesh meanwhile, Taijul Islam and Mehidy Hasan Miraz picked up four wickets each.

Bangladesh’s first innings though was dominated by the Indian bowlers, as the Indian lefty leggie, Kuldeep Yadav bagged a fivefer. Bangladesh could only score 150 runs.

India then, in their second innings, witnessed brilliant hundreds from Pujara and Shubman Gill, the opener. India handed a huge target of 513 runs to chase, for Bangladesh.

In reply, the hosts in their second innings tried to come back into the game. The opener Zakir Hasan scored a century, while his mates Najmul Shanto and the skipper Shakib Al Hasan scored the fifties. In the meantime, India’s Axar Patel picked up four wickets, and Yadav, again, picked up three. India won the Test by 188 runs.
