BAN vs IND: India is currently playing first Test of the two-match series against Bangladesh without their regular skipper Rohit Sharma. In the absence of captain, youngster Shubman Gill has stepped up and has played exceptionally well. They visitors are likely to win the first game and take 1-0 lead in the series.
Rohit Sharma likely to be available for the second Test against Bangladesh
The second Test between Bangladesh and India is scheduled to take place on Thursday (22nd December) in Dhaka. Ahead of the game, there is a big boost for visitors as regular skipper Rohit Sharma is likely to available for the game.
As per the reports in ANI, it is learned that Indian skipper Rohit Sharma has conveyed the management the he is fit for the game and will he available for selection for the second game, that begins on 22nd December.
Rohit sustained a finger injury while fielding at slips during the second ODI. He was taken off the field and then was ruled out of the third game and the ongoing first Test. He immediately left for Mumbai to see the special consultant. Although no official confirmation or statement related to Rohit has been made,he is likely to recover in time.
The reports also suggested that Rohit will fly to Bangladesh within the 24 hours and will join the team. In absence of him, KL Rahul was handed the leadership role and young Gill replaced him at the top.
