It was a game that saw Suryakumar Yadav smashing all the Kiwi bowlers all over the park and after that Indian bowlers displayed a wonderful performance to bag the match by 65 runs and take 1-0 lead in the series.

Kane Williamson scored half-century but he struggled for timing for most of his innings. A superlative bowling performance from India bundled out the hosts to the total of 126 and win the match by 65 runs. Deepak Hooda was the pick of the bowlers as he returned with the figures of 4/10.

Indian batter Suryakumar Yadav was awarded Player of the Match in the second T20I between New Zealand and India. Batting at No.3, the right-hander smashed unbeaten 111 runs and helped his side post a total of 191 runs on the board. He reached his second T20I century in just 49 balls and smashed 11 fours and 7 sixes in his innings. He batted with a strike rate of 217.65.Â
