David Miller PAK vs SA: In a massive news update, South Africa’s in-form batsman David Miller unfortunately misses out for the important encounter against Pakistan in the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2022 at the Sydney Cricket Ground in Sydney. South Africa will surely be feeling very much confident of their chances so far in the ongoing tournament especially after an incredible 5-wicket victory against India during a closely-fought game.
PAK vs SA: Why is David Miller Not Playing Today’s Pakistan vs South Africa T20 World Cup 2022 Match?
After having lost the toss and being asked to bowl first, South Africa captain Temba Bavuma revealed the big news that David Miller is not playing today’s game against Pakistan. Bavuma mentioned that the left-handed Proteas batter misses out due to an injury and its just a precautionary measure to rest him for this encounter. Miller’s exclusion from the side is a huge loss especially after his amazing match-winning innings of 59 runs off 46 deliveries that consisted of 4 fours and 3 sixes against India. South Africa have brought in swashbuckling batsman Heinrich Klaasen while left-arm spinner Keshav Maharaj has also been replaced by Tabraiz Shamsi.
“We would have batted first as well, looks a bit dry, but there is some green. Batting first is an advantage, but we need to keep them down to a low score and then chase well. We have a great bunch of guys and have derived a lot of support and confidence for them. Two changes for us – one is a forced one with Miller missing out with an injury, Klaasen replaces him. Shamsi is in, he replaces Keshav Maharaj,” said South Africa captain Temba Bavuma at the toss.
