76ers: Reflections from their first game

The Celtics ran riot on the 76ers, the 76ers allowed 39, 35 points in the second and third quarters in what was a defense that was in disarray. The Celtics shot 56% from the field and made 12 of their 35 attempts from three. In Summary, Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown obliterated them and racked up 35 points each in a rather shabby start to their season. Their defense wasn’t even close to stopping these two as both of them shot 50%+. This is not a great defensive start for the 76ers a statement from the Celts.

The 76ers’ bench accounted for just 11 points. They did shoot well from the field and the 76ers shot 50% from the field. The 76ers just had 16 assists, relying mostly on the isolation side of things. They were aggressive driving the game, making 24 of 28 free throws. The biggest concern was the poor defense of Philadelphia. But this is just one game, you never know when things click for the Embiid-Harden duo, 81 games remain.

Milwaukee Bucks: Giannis remains in the hunt for another title

Giannis Antetokounmpo is one of the most dominant players to ever play the game. He can drive hard to the rim and cause havoc as a rebounder, and defender, and perform various other tasks. Jrue Holiday remains a disruptive defender while the team will miss the services of wing Khris Middleton who is a big difference-maker as a floor spreader. Brook Lopez continues to seal the deal as a help defender and can be a scorer at a balanced keel,

Bobby Portis can slate in as a starter too and fill the Khris Middleton shoes for a bit. He can be a borderline double-double player. Not having Pat Connaughton initially hurts and the team will depend upon Giannis at the end of day. It will be interesting to see how Grayson Allen plays defense and if he is able to nail the long ball consistently. The Bucks will have to rely upon their veteran bench to provide some relief.
