T20 World Cup 2022: New Zealand Squad Announced. Check Players List

The T20 World Cup 2022 is about to begin. The marquee event is all set to take place in Australia from 16 October to 13th November. Almost all the teams have named their squad for the event and have begin their preparations for the event. New Zealand Cricket Team recently announced their squad for the event and completed the squad list of the Super 12 stage.

New Zealand Cricket on Thursday (20th September) announced 15-member squad for the T20 World Cup 2022. They ended up as the runner ups of the last edition and would be looking to go one step ahead this time.

The squad will be led by Kane Williamson and it includes the likes of senior players such as Trent Boult, Tim Southee, Devon Conway, Lockie Ferguson, Martin Guptill, Mitchell Santner, Ish Sodhi and Jimmy Neesham.

Finn Allen and Michael Bracewell have earned their maiden-call up for the T20 World Cup. Whereas the likes of Adam Milne, Daryl Mitchell and Glenn Philips have retained their place in the side.

T20 World Cup 2022: New Zealand schedule for the T20 World Cup 2022

New Zealand will begin their campaign against defending champions Australia in Sydney on 22nd October. They will then next face Afghanistan on 26th October at MCG before they travel back to to Sydney again to play the winner of the group A on 29th October.

The Kane Williamson-led side will then lock horns against England on 1st November in Gabba and then will play their final group stage match against runner-up of group b on 4th November in Adelaide.
