Avesh Khan India vs Sri Lanka: Team India will surely be eyeing for a strong fightback when they meet Sri Lanka in their fourth game of Asia Cup 2022 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on 6 September, 2022. Things did not panned out in an ideal manner for the Rohit Sharma-led side during their most recent encounter of the T20 competition as they conceded a poor 5-wicket loss at the hands of Pakistan. India will now be hoping to come up with better performances during their upcoming two matches against Sri Lanka and Afghanistan.
IND vs SL: Is Avesh Khan Playing Today’s India vs Sri Lanka match? Here’s the update
Team India were forced to make a lot of changes to their winning combination during the last game against Pakistan. All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has already been ruled out from the entire tournament due to a knee injury while speedster Avesh Khan was down with fever. However, the good news is that Avesh has completely recovered and available for the match against Sri Lanka as per ESPN Cricinfo. But it still remains to be seen, whether the Indian side wants to tinker their combination of playing as many as five frontline bowlers including all-rounder Hardik Pandya against the Lankan side.
It is very much likely that Avesh Khan will once again be warming the bench with Arshdeep Singh, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Pandya playing as the three seamers. In the match against Hong Kong, Avesh ended up conceding a total of 53 runs in his four overs.
